Unsolved Mystery Of Thousands Of Man-Sized Pisco Holes – Who Made Them And For What Purpose?

Pisco Holes Peru

MessageToEagle.com – In the Pisco Valley, Peru on the Cajamarquilla plain, there are many thousand strange holes carved into the barren rock.

These remarkable holes are clearly visible from the air. Their existence is a mystery. Who made them and for what purpose?

In total, there are almost 7,000 holes, stretching for nearly 1.5 kilometers (0.9 miles) across the plain.

The band of holes has been here for a very long time, but only a few people have paid closer attention to them as they are best appreciated from the air.

Of course, archaeologists have tried to explain the reason behind these mysterious holes, in all possible ways.

According to one theory, the holes were used as tombs.

This idea seems somewhat farfetched, considering no similar holes have been found anywhere else in Peru. In addition, no human skeletons or artifacts have been discovered in this area.

Archeologists have speculated they were dug to store grain in.

However, there were a lot easier ways to create storage containers than the hard work and decades it must have taken to chip out all of these holes.

If we compare the satellite photos of the Pisco Band with the ruins of Macchu Picchu we see a striking similarity. Perhaps what we are seeing are remnants of an ancient city?

The truth is – until today it is unknown why the holes were made and by whom.
