Lichen Crab Spider With A Human “Face”

MessageToEagle.com – A Lichen Crab spider is harmless to humans but its look can be a little frightening.

The spider has a human face on its back!

It is a very rare spider. Since 1890 only 41 one of them have ever been seen in Britain.

The spider was discovered at an RSPB reserve in Arne, near Wareham, Dorset.

The Lichen Crab spider is very small, only 20 p piece, blends into lichen on tree trunks, hence their name and moves fast.

Wareham RSPB nature reserve worker Mark Singleton said: ‘This is the first one that has been found in Dorset in 35 years.

A spider with human face.

But it’s not, it’s a spider with a slightly amusing abdomen.

‘We found it in the electricity box a few feet from our work centre and got quite excited when we realized what it was.’
