Get Paid For Eating Avocados – Offer From Scientists

Cynthia McKanzie – MessageToEagle.com – Scientists are now offering people money for eating avocados. This is done because researchers want to test the hypothesis whether avocados can burn belly fat and promote weight loss. So, if you get selected you can not only earn some money but hopefully loose some weight too.

Eating avocados will not turn you into a millionaire but you will be paid $300 if you participate in the study conducted by researchers from  Loma Linda University (LLU), Penn State University, Tufts University and the University of California, Los Angeles.

“The study will examine whether eating one avocado per day reduces visceral adipose fat in the abdomen,” Dr. Joan Sabaté, a professor of nutrition and epidemiology who directs the Center for Nutrition, Lifestyle and Disease Prevention at LLU, said.

To quality in the study you must be 25 years of age or older. Men must have a waist measuring at least 40 inches around, and women must measure at least 35 inches around their waist.

Those who are selected will be divided into two groups. Participants in group one will be given avocados to eat daily over a six-month period. During this time you will be required to make eight clinic visits so researchers can follow the progress. Researchers also researchers the right to call you unannounced at least four times during the study period to check up on your diet.

More About Health

Since avocados contain the highest fat content of any fruit, it seems illogical to think they might actually help people lose their belly fat, but scientists think it’s worth testing whether moderate avocado consumption actually promotes weight loss.

A control group will be required to eat no more than two avocados during this time.

Upon successful completion of the study, participants in both groups will be paid $300 each, and members of the control group will be given 24 avocados to enjoy.

The study is funded by the Hass Avocado Board. Many have already sent applications, but scientists are still looking for possible participants living near the campuses of Penn State University, Tufts University in Massachusetts, and the University of California, Los Angeles.
