The name of this terrifying Yokai predator varies, and Gashadokuro (“starving skeleton”) is known in Japanese mythology as O-Dokuro, Dokuro-No-Kai, and Mekurabe. Folklore stories from Japan describe a gigantic creature because it is ten or more meters tall.
