Flying Cars Incredible Technology Of The Future
MessageToEagle.com – A flying car can travel on roads and can take off, fly, and land as an aircraft.
These vehicles have previously been seen only in science fiction movies, but with new technology quickly emerging, flying cars are becoming reality. However, this does not mean you should sell your car just yet!

On March 23, 2012 Terrafugia successfully tested it Light Sport Aircraft (LSA).
Speaking about the first flight, Terrafugia Chief Test Pilot Phil Meteer said: “It’s a remarkable vehicle both on the road and, now, in the air.
When I drove it into the shop, literally from the road through the garage door, I was amazed that I had just flown it at Plattsburgh a few days before. A long-overdue mode of transportation and fun is just around the corner.
I can’t wait for the upcoming flight tests and the chance to ‘wring it out’, demonstrating how safe and enjoyable the Transition is to fly.”
The Transition is a sporty two-seater designed to cruise at 93 knots (105 mph) and then, upon landing, fold up its wings and get 35 miles per gallon on the highway.
“The whole idea is to address the gap in travel between 100 and 400 miles,” said Cliff Allen, Terrafugia’s vice president of sales.
“You could leave your home or office, drive to the nearest General Aviation airport, convert over to the aviation mode, fly to the airport nearest your destination and drive the last 10 or 15 miles.”
Due to the price tag it is unlikely we will see a great number of Transitions soaring the skies in the near future.
The Transition currently costs $279,000 and about 100 aircraft have already been reserved.
