Follow us: - "Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its five-year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before."

If you are a true Star Trek fan you will never forget these words. If you are devoted to cosmos and space exploration, you will truly want to go where no man has gone before.

Imagination can carry us to a number of alien worlds, but our reality is harsh. Space exploration is dangerous and expensive. Space agencies lack money. We have not proper technology that allows us to send our astronauts to deep space.

So, if we cannot travel in a fast spaceship and explore wonderful and exotic alien worlds, why not create an out of this world home right here on the Earth?

Tony Alleyne in his Star Trek home.

Shortly after separating with his wife, Tony Alleyne, Hinckley, Leicestershire, UK started to build his Star Trek apartment. He got the idea to create the amazingly accurate spaceship replica after his friend gave him a magazine based on the TV show.

An entire Universe was once in this flat.

"My friend gave me a Star Trek mag and I became obsessed with having my own space ship. He laughed when I told him - I think he thought it was all a joke, but I knew I was going to achieve it one day, " Alleyne said.

It took him 10 years to convert his 500-square foot apartment to a fantastic Federation vessel.

"Building this has been like a dream. I had a vision and I'm really amazed at what I managed to achieve with just hard work," he said.

Unfortunately, Alleyne lost his incredible spaceship when his wife, whom he has been separated from since 1994, and who pays for the apartment filed for divorce.

She wanted to sell the apartment empty.

Needless, to say it would have been better if Alleyne had built his fantastic vessel in on his own property. What a shame, it is all gone!

Gary Reighn started to build his Star Trek Home Theater, which he calls "The Bridge" in 2007.

"I have been a Star Trek fan since the Saturday morning cartoons in the early 1970's. I was only a toddler when Star Trek debuted. I became a fan when the series went into syndication.

I have collected Star Trek memorbilia for many, many years. I was somewhat of a collector and a dealer, buying and selling toys and stuff, " Reighn said.

Located in Ginza, Tokyo, and designed by architect Kisho Kurokawa, this 1972 project reminds us of a mixture between Borg cubes and Tetris-like building.

The building has 140 prefabricated capsules which are each measure 7.5ft x 12 ft x 6.9ft. (2.3m x 3.8 m x 2.1 m). These can be connected and combined to create larger apartments. Every appliances and cabinets were built in to one side, and the aircraft-like shower to the other.
